Hi, I'm Matt
I build things and share what I build.
I'm a senior software engineer in the Philadelphia area, working on enterprise software in Java, Python and AWS. On my own time I've made a home theater that runs itself, a commuter dashboard for my household, and an app that turns today's forecast into music. Come check them out.

Theater Automation
It started with not wanting to get up for the lights, and kept growing one problem at a time. Walk downstairs, bring a friend, press play, score a touchdown, then try to break the projector's safety interlock.

Good Morning Dashboard
A commute on two Regional Rail lines, planned as one trip, which the SEPTA app can't do. Watch a weekday play out on the kitchen display and the phone, then see what happens when a connection slips.

WeatherTunes
Your forecast, played as music. Sunny days sound bright, storms go dark and minor, and the wind sets the tempo. Try your own city.

Guitar, synths and snow
I record music at home, ski whenever I can and go to a lot of live shows. There's a SoundCloud player on the About page.
